Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty born October 1st of 1995, in Berkeley California USA. She is an actress, known for Choices 2010 (also in the form of The Heart and Other Small Shapes), Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022), and The Heart and Other Small Shapes.
Asia Argento was raised in Rome by an film and actor family. Both professions she pursued her own. The actress made her film debut at the age of nine in Sergio Citti's Sogni bisogni. At the age of eighteen she was the lead of Cristina Comencini's Zoo and a member of Michele Soavi's The Church. The following year, she played Nanni Moritti's baby in Red Wood Pigeon. Her profession took off after she was cast as Nanni's little girl for the film Close Friends. It was well received during the Cannes International Film Festival. The film was made with her father for the the first time Trauma, a renowned Italian horror director Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favourite actress, and she played an anorexic looking to find her parents' killer. Asia was in Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed together with her father. The other two were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. The actress co-starred alongside Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di perspective as Arianna, a girl with physical handicap. The intricate and challenging character earned her the David di Donatello award for Best actor. In 1995, she was a co-star together with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration won her an award from the David diDonatello and the Grolla of Oro. Asia's debut short film was an episode of the De Generazione movie. Two years later, Asia became a director and produced two films. The first, AbelAsia was a homage to her father. In 1999, Asia began her film-directing career in the form of Scarlet Diva in which she was the leading actress as well as the writer of the screenplay. The movie was released on May 20, 2000 across Italy, and in other countries. It was awarded in the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
